He was detained by the police on November 15, 2016 (though in some testimonies Reyhangul says that he was detained in October) and held for three months. After being released, he would be detained again later, though the dates here are unclear. He passed away in February 2018 from the mistreatment in detention. earlier: November, 2016

From people in touch with the testifier: The victim was detained by the Chinese police 3 months between the end of 2016 (October 2016) and early 2017. He was arrested by the Chinese police, probably at home, in front of his wife and 5 children, because "of his beard" according to the police. After his release, he reported about the torture he suffered from (physical and mental torture, brainwashing etc), and was physically very weakened.

Yasinjan's wife was also arrested and taken to camp. The status of their five children is unknown.

Reyhangul also writes that he was forced to undergo humiliating treatment while in detention and wasn't allowed to have medical treatment when his health got worse. Reyhangul has no contact with anyone for past 2 years. Yassin has 4 children ranging from 4 to 12 years old. Their condition is unknown. Hsi wife has also been arrested and taken to camp.
