Abdugappar's wife, Guzel, passed away after her husband's detention. Abdugappar was not allowed to attend her funeral. Their 5 children's condition is unknown. Abdugappar's mother in law, 70, was also taken to the re-education camp because she stayed in Turkey for a month taking care of her grandchildren.
