He came to visit his father in Norway in 2015. He was contacted by the local police through his relatives in Ghulja, threating him that his family and his uncle, Seydehmet Memtimin, would be arrested if he didn't come back. So his grandmother, Ruqiye Jumehun, and he went back.
After they went back, Memtimin Hajim kept contact with them. But in the end of 2016, he lost contact with them. Then in the end of August 2019, Memtinim Hajim learnt that his mother is at home and his brother, Seydehmet Memtimin, was released after a while he was detained. His son, Rishat Memtimin, was taken into camps in 2017 but since then his whereabouts is unknown.
