On November 11, 2018, Ilyar's mother and daughter attended his "twice inform and once announce" session, where Ilyar expressed discontent with the tag applied to him ("refusing to participate in flag-raising ceremonies and being uncooperative") and refused to sign the relevant document. (After the failed session, authorities visited the family's home and told them to be ready for another provisional-sentencing session.)
