He was arrested in May 2017.

In October 2019, his daughter finally got news of him, hearing that he had been taken to a detention center in Nezerbagh following his arrest and was still detained there. She also heard that he was subjected to forced labor there.

In mid-2020, she was told by relatives that he was "fine" and "working", but wouldn't be told when she could talk to him, making her suspect that he was still in forced labor.

In September 2021, Sheyide reported him as being in a detention center. -يىلى ئاپرىل 2017
