Yaqupjan Tohti (牙库甫江·托乎提), 31 years old as of December 2017. Registered in Aksu’s Qumbash township.

chronology of detention(s)

He was apprehended on December 12 in Guye, Tangshan, as the authorities were looking for a different Uyghur suspected of theft. He had just arrived in Tangshan from Tianjin.

He was then taken back to his place of origin by the Xinjiang police for "surveillance and control" (布控).

The Guye PSB found that the victim had a history of drug use and had been arrested by authorities in Jiangsu and Beijing. The PSB then contacted the Qumbash police station, which reported that Yaqupjan was a relative of a person in detention and an "untrustworthy person".

Taken by police back to Xinjiang [presumably detained].
