Handwritten note reads: "There are three adults in the household, and six children. Other children have already grown up and started their families. Emet Nur, Mehrigul Ebey and Abdulla Emet. Abdulla has already married, but his wife's hukou has not been issued yet. Emet Nur turned 72 this year, he is currently in a re-education center. The family has 36.7 mu of land; 11.5 mu is used for red dates, 6.5 for (unreadable*), 19 for cotton. Dates and cotton have already been fully harvested. (unreadable) Emet Nur’s third child’s Tohti Emet’s wife can understand that her father-in-law is getting education in the re-education center because of illegally studying scripture. Two children tilt the land together with Emet Nur. They have two oxen, two sheep. The family’s main source of income is land cultivation, part of the income comes from animal husbandry. We preached the Nineenth People’s Congress knowledge to the family, now the family has no other difficulties. Should they arise, the children will help solve them."
*Importer's note - that land is possibly allocated for corn, based on pictures and textual information from the article.
