At some point in time, Abdukahar Rozi was sent to Aksu Prefecture to pick cotton as part of a forced labour programme.

It is known that his younger brother (Nabijan Rozi) perished in a fire at a dormitory in Aksu Prefecture after being sent to pick cotton as part of the same forced labour programme. It is unclear whether or not Abdukahar Rozi (the victim) was injured in the same fire, but he is reportedly still alive.
