When Nejmidin Qarluq was 6 years old, his father [name unspecified] was reportedly released from prison.

One of Nejmidin Qarluq's brothers [name unspecified] was sentenced to life imprisonment in 1996.

A different brother of Nejmidin Qarluq was sentenced to 6.5 years of imprisonment [date unspecified], and is still in prison as of 29 January 2021.

One of Nejmidin Qarluq's brothers [unclear if this is referring to one of the aforementioned brothers, or a separate brother], along with Nejmidin Qarluq's ex-wife, and Nejmidin Qarluq's sister [names unspecified], were all sent to a concentration camp in 2018.

Testimony 2: He is also included in a 2017 "WASFRY" police list [presumably short for 危安释放人员, or "endangering-security released persons"].

Testimony 4: one police record notes him going through a police check in October 2017 in Urumqi. [This does not make sense, as he was already in Belgium by then. It is possible that the police did a remote check based on his ID number, possibly while checking his sister, as she went through at least two checks at around the same time. It is notable that the check took place in around the same area as the address on his ID.]
